Contribution of Community Resilience to City’s Livability within the Framework of Sustainable Development

Lessons learned from the crisis in Indonesia prove that concept of community resilience, together with community-based development, significantly affects ability to fight against at local and levels. In addition improving urban livability, today’s development must also struggle overcome various pressures due natural disasters. Community resilience is considered a bottom-up solution address these problems. This study aims see how settlements’ livability Malang City, one Indonesia’s medium-sized cities. research analyses relationship between variables formulate prescriptive strategies. The used quantitative analysis by compiling selecting data secondary primary sources indicators proposed model. Descriptive structural equation modelling were conducted using SEM-PLS. model built this shows main factor shapes indicated social life, environment, economy. Important forming are population vulnerability, physical infrastructure, environmental infrastructure.
